Hi, I can confirm the bug reported by Matteo; it still shows up even in the most recent package version 1.7.11-1.
The issue, that affects some Italian CNS cards produced by Actalis, has been tracked down by Emanuele Pucciarelli to a problem in the ACR38U driver more than a year ago. Details and patch are available on the OpenSC BTS: http://www.opensc-project.org/opensc/ticket/177 I can confirm that Emanuele's patch fixes the issue. Could you please apply it in the Debian package even if the upstream developer doesn't collaborate? Thanks! I'm ready to provide further details if needed. Note: also the Italian distributor for ACR38U-based readers Bit4id (http://www.bit4id.com) are providing an updated version of the acr38u driver since the beginning of 2011, which solves the issue. Maybe they can be contacted for colaboration (they are very active on the acr38u readers, since they provide almost all readers for the Italian e-governement projects). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
