I cannot reproduce this here, at least not with my LUKS-encrypted disks.
Can you tell me the encryption type of your disk?
Either by sending the command used to create the encrypted partition, or by
sending the output of mount.crypt -v
You can send it also directly to cal...@debian.org

I can mount an encrypted partition with mount.crypt but umount.crypt
refuses to unmount it. umount.crypt gives the error /tmp/mnt is not
mounted (according to cmtab) but it does remove the correct line from
/var/run/cmtab.
