Package: libwxbase2.8-0 Version: 2.8.10.1-3.1 Severity: normal The newly packaged version of Ginkgo-CADx has a bug making it unusable when packaged against 2.8.10 in Debian unstable. It has been confirmed with upstream that this bug is gone when using wx 2.8.12 or higher. Ginkgo-CADx is a medcial images viewer (DICOM) which has not competitor with the same feature set available within Debian or Linux. It is needed on a daily basis by physicians.
Packaging wx 2.8.12 would also help GNUmed (electronic medical record) which currently has all kinds of upstream workarounds for bugs solved in 2.8.12.
