after having read up on the improved new repos format, I was excited to install git-annex from unstable and upgrade my primary repository first - but unfortunately it failed with: upgrade . (v1 to v2...) (moving content...) (updating symlinks...) (moving location logs...) fatal: pathspec '80e/2db/SHA1--a20fa448735b5e842ad834aANDSOONANDSOFORTH.log' did not match any files Command xargs ["-0","git","--git-dir=/PATH/TO/REPOS/.git","--work-tree=/PATH/TO/REPOS","add","--"] failed; exit code 123 failed git-annex: user error (Command xargs ["-0","git","--git-dir=/PATH/TO/REPOS/.git","--work-tree=/PATH/TO/REPOS","add","--"] failed; exit code 123) git-annex: 1 failed and then left a bunch of 'abc/123/' directories under my main tree, all of which are empty. It also left some symlink changes (to hashed locations) staged, and some further symlink changes and removals of log files under ..git-annex/ apllied only to the working copy. Thanks for your consideration of this problem. Philipp PS: unannex complains that I need to upgrade first - it would be nice if it didn't do that, so I could fall back to unannexing.
