Package: dar
Version: 2.4.0-1
Severity: normal

Dar supports a --hash flag to generate MD5 or SHA1 checksums of each slice,
with more reliability than checksumming the .dar files afterwords.
When I run it including that flag, the following error message is printed
before dar terminates:
Aborting program. The requested operation needs a feature that has been
disabled at compilation time: Missing hashing algorithms support (which is part
of strong encryption support, using libgcrypt)

I would like to see Debian's dar include this feature; if the additional
dependency is undesirable, would it be possible to include libgcrypt support in
the dar_static package?
