Package: mscore Version: 0.9.6+dfsg-1 Severity: normal
MuseScore wasn't able to play any note, so I first supposed that it was a problem related with the soundcard. But soundcard was Ok, so I started MuseScore from a gnome-terminal with mscore -F (to start it with the default configuration). I the following error: Loading SoundFont "/usr/share/mscore-0.9//sound/TimGM6mb.sf2" failed. Playback will be disabled. Go to Display > Synthesizer and check that the file location is correct I was searching for this problem and found that I had to change the file ..config/MusE/MuseScore.ini Where it says: soundFont=/usr/share/mscore-0.9//sound/TimGM6mb.sf2 Should say: soundFont=/usr/share/sounds/sf2/TimGM6mb.sf2 After that, everything sounded right :) Thank you for your time. Hope this report help to solve this same problem on other users who enjoy music as us. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.2 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages mscore depends on: ii musescore 0.9.6+dfsg-1 Full featured WYSIWYG score editor mscore recommends no packages. mscore suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
