Package: mscore
Version: 0.9.6+dfsg-1
Severity: normal

MuseScore wasn't able to play any note, so I first supposed that it was a
problem
related with the soundcard. But soundcard was Ok, so I started MuseScore from a
gnome-terminal with mscore -F (to start it with the default configuration).
I the following error:

Loading SoundFont
"/usr/share/mscore-0.9//sound/TimGM6mb.sf2"
failed. Playback will be disabled.

Go to Display > Synthesizer
and check that the file location is correct

I was searching for this problem and found that I had to change the file
..config/MusE/MuseScore.ini

Where it says: soundFont=/usr/share/mscore-0.9//sound/TimGM6mb.sf2
Should say: soundFont=/usr/share/sounds/sf2/TimGM6mb.sf2

After that, everything sounded right :)
Thank you for your time. Hope this report help to solve this same problem
on other users who enjoy music as us.
