I, as upstream maintainer second that update request. It seems that Daniel, who did good work over all these years as debian maintainer of mpg123, is increasingly unavailable. Especially regarding the upcoming freeze for the next stable debian, I really would like to see this distro jumping to the 1.13 series. There are several annoying bugs fixed.
As I am not associated with the debian project, I wonder if anyone connected to this bug report could poke someone (or _be_ someone) to take over the mpg123 package, perhaps only interim until Daniel is live again? The basic packaging work is done by Daniel already, nothing fundamental changed with mpg123 1.13. The update should not be tricky, even for a beginning debian maintainer. Alrighty then, Thomas
