Package: libcurl3-dbg
Version: 7.21.7-3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

libcurl3-dbg does not have any debug symbols in it. That's why the library
files in it are so small.

# ls -l /usr/lib/debug/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libcurl*
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 45201 Sep 12 04:11
/usr/lib/debug/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libcurl-gnutls.so.4.2.0
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 46586 Sep 12 04:11
/usr/lib/debug/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libcurl-nss.so.4.2.0
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 52495 Sep 12 04:11
/usr/lib/debug/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libcurl.so.4.2.0

# objdump -h /usr/lib/debug/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libcurl-gnutls.so.4.2.0 |
grep -c \\.debug
0

To fix it, add --enable-debug to the ./configure line. I have tested this (in
Ubuntu) and confirmed that it still uses -O2 when --enable-debug is given.
