Dear Maintainer,
gnome-shell is duplicating many application icons in the dash. I found a bug
report in launchpad[1] for this exact issue, and the proposed fix (rm -rf
/var/lib/menu-xdg/applications/menu-xdg) works perfectly, 'till next boot.
