>From a quick look at the email it sounds like the 'event' package for R (included in the same package) is not loaded when it is needed. Which would be circular. OTOH the package name indicates that the package is old and a few things changed in R with respect to packages (and particularly their NAMESPACE declarations). It may need a fix -- dunno. I'll be out of town a bit the next few days so not sure when I get a chance to look for closely...
