I have the same problem. I also lost all the setup on my mailboxes, such
as which fields to display in the i
I am able to send email from Evolution using my remote IMAP email
account, and the sent email is stored in the "Sent Items" folder on the
remote server. I determined this by viewing the folders on the remote
server via a Web interface, which also confirms that the remote server
is working.
