It keeps the variants for subsequent layouts, so for your example there would be "fr", "fr(bepo)" if I understand the variant name right. Actually, there is another patch already for his issue, which allows more configurability: https://sourceforge.net/p/lxde/patches/398/ So some of those could be applied to fix the issue. -- Max
