Package: python-qt4-doc Version: 4.9-2 Severity: normal I have not attempted to run all of the demos, but there are at least 3 categories of failure, with some examples listed here. Do they require additional packages ? are they not shipped because of DFSG conformance ? unsupported ? just broken ?
Furthermore, there is very few info about how to use this tool, it could be good to advertise "qtdemo.py -help" in the README file, although the short help is not enough to understand what they are supposed to do (ever tried eg. "-menu1" ?), it may be worth to point the reader to "qtdemo/colors.py" as where to start to look at to understand them, it's not they place where sane people would look first, IMHO. Using "qtdemo.py -verbose" does not help. So here is the list: * those that don't say a thing - painting / basicdrawing - painting / svg - demos / textedit - demos / embedded * those that say "Could not launch the example. Ensure that it has been built." - demos / samegame * those for which the demo does not find doc about - demos / minehunt (which does launch, but only to a white window) - demos / osm (which does work) -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (500, 'oldstable'), (101, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.1.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages python-qt4-doc depends on: ii libjs-jquery 1.7.1-1 python-qt4-doc recommends no packages.
