Stupid question... can't the respective libs just be used on demand and
on availability via dynamic loading? Then one could make the depends a
recommends.

Today checking for the updates I found that the package openjdk-7-jre
depends the package libgnome2-0.
Currently I have serveral light system using as main desktop enviroment
LXDE, without any KDE or Gnome related packages.
I think this dependecy was inserted by error

Also kill the dependancies on libgnome2-0 libgnomevfs2-0 which have a
horrible dependancy chain.
