Package: libnotify-bin Version: 0.5.0-2 Severity: minor
Hi, notify-send returns zero even in presence of errors. I don't know if it is really a bug or only a missing feature, but a different exit status would be appreciated. :) For example without a running X the command $ notify-send something obviously fails, but its exit status is zero: $ echo $? 0 Thanks -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.5 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (990, 'stable-updates'), (990, 'stable'), (550, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (100, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-for-dummynet (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_US.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages libnotify-bin depends on: ii libc6 2.11.3-3 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libglib2.0-0 2.32.3-1 GLib library of C routines ii libnotify1 [libnotify1-gtk2.1 0.5.0-2 sends desktop notifications to a n libnotify-bin recommends no packages. libnotify-bin suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
