alsa-base didn't depend on linux-sound-base anymore after removing it

Thanks for your reply I went ahead and tried to purge linux-sound-base
but alsa-base depends on it.
$ sudo aptitude purge linux-sound-base -syV
The following packages will be REMOVED:

0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 to remove and 4 not
