Subject: id3v2: Unable to stat file when mounted via CIFS Package: id3v2 Version: 0.1.12-2 Severity: normal
When using id3v2 to read or write tags to files on a CIFS mount, I get an error message unable to stat file. A bit of Googling suggests that this can be solved by export CPPFLAGS=-D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 before configure during compilation. Indeed, testing my own build this seems to be the case. The best information I found is in a bug report for exiv2 at https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/24808?opened=4276&status[0]= but the explanation seems to apply equally to id3v2. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.6 APT prefers stable APT policy: (990, 'stable'), (500, 'stable-updates') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages id3v2 depends on: ii libc6 2.11.3-4 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libgcc1 1:4.4.5-8 GCC support library ii libid3-3.8.3c2a 3.8.3-13 A library for manipulating ID3v1 a ii libstdc++6 4.4.5-8 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-3 compression library - runtime id3v2 recommends no packages. id3v2 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
