Hi,
I can confirm that behaviour on two of my five machines but with errorcode 110.
Unfortunately, it's not possible to reproduce it - sometimes it works,
sometimes not.
Trying to execute apticron manually will work all the time.
/etc/cron.daily/apticron:

Package: apticron

Severity: normal
apticron dies when it should check for updates, the cron mail reads like [1].
(note that I'm replacing the hostname with and the FQDN with .)
I'm using apt-cacher-ng on another box B to cache Debian packages, this machine
called A has the issue.
