Package: duplicity
Version: 0.6.18-3
Severity: normal

Dear maintainers,

The version currently in Wheezy contains needless warnings that were
fixed before the freeze. If you don't use (and haven't installed) the
gio backend you get useless cruft in log messages and whenever you use
duplicity:
"Import of duplicity.backends.giobackend Failed: No module named gio"
This was introduced in 0.6.18 (Wheezy version) and resolved in 0.6.19.
Current stable (Squeeze) and Sid don't have this bug.

Ideally I'd like to get 0.6.21 (because of more fix galore) from
upstream in Sid and Squeeze but understand that we're in a deep freeze.
I'm curious how to deal with this.
