I just built and tested the tentative SuperLU 4.3 mentioned above on
Debian Sid.
Then I rebuilt GetFEM++ and PETSc to use it (only trivial modifications
needed). For this I had to re-enable SuperLU-support in PETSc, which
I think has been disable
A tentative update is already in:
http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/debian-science/packages/superlu/trunk
Just need someone to test and upload the package :)

Severity: wishlist
The Debian package provides SuperLU 3.0 which is from 2007. The current
SuperLU version is 4.3. It would be nice to get an update.
