Package: gnome-terminal Version: 3.8.2-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation? when upgraded gnome-terminal from 3.4.1.1-2 to 3.8.2-1 * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? from a remote Debian machine, I did "ssh -X -f foo gnome-terminal" and got gnome-terminal, then I open emacs on it. I saw emacs in a terminal mode and after I closed emacs I got an message "Display localhost:10.0 unavailable, simulating -nw" * What was the outcome of this action? It seems I cant launch X applications from gnome-terminal called with "ssh -X" * What outcome did you expect instead? when I open emacs without "-nw" it should open emacs in graphic mode. Thanks for your maintenance.
