Package: libncurses5 Version: 5.9-10 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer,
There still exist commercial software packages that rely on the existance of libtermcap.so.2. Debian used to (that is, back in 2005), have a package termcap-compat that added a symlink from libncurses to libtermcap, but that package is long gone now. libncurses5 still maintains the termcap ABI, so a symlink shouldn't be out of the question. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (700, 'stable'), (500, 'stable-updates') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.9.2-vanillaice (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
