This bug does not seem to be happening anymore with the updated package in
sid (icedove-17.0.8-1).
I'm at a loss with this answer.
It is pretty obvious that removing the gnome meta-package will remove
half of gnome system.
But why does INSTALLING icedove remove the gnome meta-package anyway?
This shouldn't happen at all.
