Package: xfce4-mailwatch-plugin Version: 1.1.0-5+b1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I am using the xfce4-mailwatch-plugin to check on POP3 and IMAP mailboxes regularly (using a 10 minute interval) and I noticed that the plugin uses up all available CPU time while checking mails. In cases where the link is slow or the server connection times out, this becomes a major annoyance on battery-powered devices, because this results in a lot of CPU time burned - on fast links, it is barely noticeable. "top" shows CPU usages of ca. 188% on my dual-core CPU, but I also noticed that sometimes only one core is used up (ca. 99%) - I assume this happens when only one of the servers times out and the other answers fast. Please have a look into this and Thank you in advance. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.1 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages xfce4-mailwatch-plugin depends on: ii libc6 2.13-38 ii libcairo2 1.12.2-3 ii libgcrypt11 1.5.0-5+deb7u1 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.26.1-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.33.12+really2.32.4-5 ii libgnutls26 2.12.20-7 ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.10-2 ii libxfce4util4 4.8.2-1 ii libxfcegui4-4 4.8.1-5 ii xfce4-panel 4.8.6-4 xfce4-mailwatch-plugin recommends no packages. xfce4-mailwatch-plugin suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
