Package: findutils
Version: 4.5.12-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I would really like to be able to pipe into xargs and have it start and
interactive program. It cannot.

Please give us a feature which will let us:

ls|xargs [option flag here] vim

without error.

I do not want to have an xargs that makes me start an entirely new shell that
launches a program to do this. I want an xargs that is directly compatible with
interactive applications. Please give me an xargs that is directly compatible
with interactive applications.

The manual mentions something else, and I'm not sure what it is or what it's
for:

xargs sh -c 'emacs "$@" < /dev/tty' emacs

This involves manually launching a new shell via xargs, and I don't understand
it's intent or how it helps me pipe into vim.

Please do whatever you think best to give xargs the usability it deserves.
Certainly interactive applications ought be usable by xargs.
