I do believe this is because there is a missing -lgmodule-2.0 from the gcc command and that could be (don't know autotools that well so I am not sure about this) caused by the following line in the configure script (line 17999): RDYNAMIC_FLAGS="`$pkgconfigpath gmodule-2.0 --libs | $sedpath 's/ -lgmodule-2.0//'`" but I can't see any reason in that script why all arches build fine except hurd or why it would fail in Daniels case.
