Hi,
if it finds none of the players, it will cat the sound file to
/dev/dsp (i.e., use OSS). I don't know what that does on systems
without OSS - I do have osspd installed, so this actually works (but
it results in clipping).

Correct, I shall add these dependencies. But do you know what Gajim does
when none
