Package: moodle
Version: 2.6.2-1
Severity: serious

At the time of writing this, I am the single active maintainer on the
Moodle package in unstable/testing. The time I spend on the package
I can spend at work because we're using the package in its current
form as it is in unstable. It's however unlikely that I can commit
to supporting Moodle in a stable release in worktime.

In discussion with the Security Team it was concluded that a large
package like Moodle needs some kind of concrete prospect of being
maintained in stable if we want to include it in the release. While
there are no other maintainers, that is not the case. Therefore,
Moodle should not migrate to Jessie until that is solved.

This bug can be closed when there's an active maintainer or team who
is willing to keep track of the frequent security issues and wants
to prepare updates for the Jessie lifetime. Ideally, this would be
based on the upstream 2.7 release which I understand is planned as
an LTS.
