I accidently changed the setting too and was unable, in the first place, to revert my change However I found a workaround: In the tweak-tool window, click the magnifier icon (search option), then input ’scaling’ in the text field. That will display only options for which the name matches

I did the exact same thing on a recently-upgraded Jessie installation and got the exact same results. I agree that there should be some kind of timeout like the one for changing display resolution, and for the same reason: unwittingly changing the setting to something inappropriate can make
