Package: org-mode
Version: 8.2.7b-2
Severity: minor

Hi,

I tried to reopen #740867 to report this, but either I screwed something
up or the spam filter ate my attempt. So, filing a new bug instead (it's
arguably slightly different in any case).

To use org-mode's export-to-pdf feature (or export-to-latex followed by
compiling), two packages not currently in the Suggests are needed:

1. texlive-latex-extra. The changelog for the upload that closed #740867
said, "Add a Suggests:texlive-latex-extra", but as far as I can tell it
isn't actually in the Suggests of the current package.

2. texlive-fonts-recommended. The LaTeX preamble that org-mode generates
includes \usepackage{marvosym}, which isn't shipped in Debian's base
LaTeX packages. The recommended fonts package is a pretty large one
unfortunately. I wonder if marvosym is really needed in the default
export preamble? Upstream cites handling of the Euro symbol to justify
the dependency (http://orgmode.org/worg/org-dependencies.html).

Best,
Mark
