Hi Daniel,
I've worked on enabling Python 3 on SCOOP for Debian from your
packaging. The trivial things should work OK assuming that the patch I
just sent to dh-python gets included, regarding argparse and Python3
(#763200).
Just wanted to let you know.
Cheers,
Simon

Hello,
during the build, I have this message

maybe it would be nice to install latex to generate the pngmath pictures.
Thanks for more review.

Hello Frederic,
I've set up the DEP-8 tests, please see the latest commit.
My buildlog incl. adt-run results is here:

So, it would be o.k. with me to put it on its way. But, further comments
welcome, I will fix this immediately.

Hello
what about _static/copybutton.js ?
Can't find anything special on this (among other packages only to be
found in python{2.7,3.2}-doc [1]), so I suggest we just leave it out
(contains no copyright info, whatsoever)
look at here and add the same thing in the copyright file.
Thanks for further stuff, this is going to be a hardened deb/copyright.
Won't do no harm with the FTP people.

Hello, here a quick review of all the patches
* dropped docs package (REJECT-FAQ: split this only if it's big)
I think that this patch should be reverted.
The problem if you add the documentation in python-scoop seems to me
problematic when python3-scoop will come.
It is best to my opinion
Thanks for the review.

The problem if you add the documentation in python-scoop
scoop-doc would be. But I would be tending to python-scoop-doc anyway.
scoop-doc is better to my opinion
I just looked at sphinx and it seems that this is better to use
source-doc (it is neutral

You removed the local-options (are you using gbp-buildpackage to build
scoop ?)
Yes. What's this for, useful to keep?
In fact I like when the master branch does not touch the upstream sources.
This is why I use the unapply patches option
this way I have the original sources in the master

Hello, I already started to package it, but I did not intend to maintain it.
I can sponsorize the upload if you need a sponsor.
Did you considede maintaining it under the debian-science umbrella.
I know that it is related to deap, so it is science related :).

Hi Frederic,
thanks for the offer to sponsor the package. Yes I would be interested
to put into under Debian Science (I've did that already for Python-nltk).
Thanks also for the pointer to your previous work on Scoop, I'll take a
look into it and come back with the package, soon.
That's a pointer to another Debian Science package, but anyhow
interesting (exemplarily) :-)
Greetings,
Daniel
