Package: rdesktop
Version: 1.8.2-3+deb8u1
Followup-For: Bug #767329

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

pasting to windows app via ctrl-v. Source was raw email piped to "xsel
-bpi" in mutt.
rdesktop was started on remote host via ssh. 95% of the time
everything works just fine, but now and then (on larger pieces of
text - this one was 38KB) it crashes with:

% rdesktop -u user.name -d DOMENA -r clipboard:PRIMARYCLIPBOARD -K -z -P -x m
-g 98% hostname
Autoselected keyboard map en-us
ERROR: CredSSP: Initialize failed, do you have correct kerberos tgt initialized
?
Connection established using SSL.
WARNING: Remote desktop does not support colour depth 24; falling back to 16
ERROR: SSL_read: 5 (Connection reset by peer)
Disconnected due to network error, retrying to reconnect for 70 minutes.
ERROR: CredSSP: Initialize failed, do you have correct kerberos tgt initialized
?

up to here it does not seems those error are important and rdesktop is
connected to remote host and works normally
until large piece of text is pasted, then it crashes:

*** Error in `rdesktop': double free or corruption (fasttop):
0x0000000001a02f90 ***
./hosting: line 16: 11666 Aborted rdesktop -u user.name -d
DOMENA -r clipboard:PRIMARYCLIPBOARD -K -z -P -x m -g ${SIZE}% hostname

(the address changes, for example it was also 0x0000000002685cb0)

(The remote is Microsoft windows server 2008 R2 in this case)

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
   * What was the outcome of this action?

One the rdesktop crashes, upon further rdesktop connections, it is
not possible to paste anything (even simple words) on windows host
until "log off" on windows side is performed. After that, if same
big paste buffer is tried again, crash is reproducible.

If I logoff on winows, and clear paste buffers on localhost with
"xsel -bpsc", then fill them with something simple like "echo hello
        | xsel -bpi" the pasting works again.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

I expected the text to be pasted to windows app, instead of rdesktop
crash
