Dear Maintainer, my vanilla kernel ask for the *new* firmware of my wifi card: Network controller: Intel Corporation Wireless 7260 (rev 83)
Here is the error that I can see in the dmesg / journal: déc. 31 14:13:11 t440s-gs kernel: iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: Direct firmware load for iwlwifi-7260-10.ucode failed with error -2 déc. 31 14:13:11 t440s-gs kernel: iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: request for firmware file 'iwlwifi-7260-10.ucode' failed. déc. 31 14:13:11 t440s-gs kernel: iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: Firmware has old API version, expected v10, got v9. déc. 31 14:13:11 t440s-gs kernel: iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: New firmware can be obtained from http://www.intellinuxwireless.org/. I checkout the svn of firmware-nonfree and would be happy to submit a patch, but I think need some sponsor to do it. For the moment I made my own version of iwlwifi and it works against vanilla kernel: 9bb29b6 Merge tag 'fixes-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc [Linus Torvalds] Regards, Guillaume Seren. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
