I found that I saw the same issue, but when I rebooted, efibootmgr 0.12-1 with efivar 0.20 worked fine for me. Rebooting didn't solve the problem for me. I've also made plenty of reboots yesterday and they didn't solve the problem for me, resetting EFI and upgrading EFI also didn't help. Take
