This seems to be similar to bug reported against at-spi2-core package
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=918776 but with another
problem produced. I would like to hear if this problem is still present
or reproducible on your system. Let us know, please.

Dear Maintainer,
When I upgraded to 8.1 I was no longer able to get LXDE to load after
login. The sesssion would just star at the start page. I dropped to the
command line stopped lighdm (sudo systemctl stop lightdm) then restart x
(startx)
