Dear [A-Za-z]+,
i ran into the same problem when trying to access my Wheezy host. I also
tried several versions from [1] not using the setup.py routine. This
problem occurred when using versions > 1.1.0.
Upgrading the host to Jessie seemed to solve the problem.
BTW: Wheezy uses libvirt 0.9.1
