Agreed. The important change was made in flash-kernel 3.37 so the
breaks in the

Installing this package from the jessie-backports distribution "bricked" my
QNAP TS-219P II. The Linux kernel no longer boots. Attaching a serial console
revealed that the Linux kernel did not recognize the machine id.
