Package: apt Version: 1.1~exp12 Severity: wishlist Sometimes, APT ignores errors. For example, if there is an error while downloading Packages.xz, APT may ignore it and try to download Packages.gz instead. Currently, it is not easy to obtain the error message for such errors, which makes debugging these problems more difficult. I think that APT should either show details about such errors by default or have an option to enable this.
