The important bit here is "on my system"; the cruft tool provides a way
to support local hacks: custom filters in /etc/cruft/filters.
Here's an example:
$ cat /etc/cruft/filters/DETISTE
/etc/X11/Xreset.d/guest
/etc/apt/apt.conf.d/99local
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/local.list
/etc/cron.daily/ra

Now on my system this is a symlink:
