-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 It took me the majority of my waking hours yesterday to figure this one out, mostly because I thought this was an X problem and not a KDE problem. This was compounded by the recent change in Stretch of how Xorg starts (the setuid wrapper, systemd-logind), and so my old methods of starting X didn't work. I spent a few hours poking around with strace and checking every log I could, getting increasingly frustrated because I was making no progress (because X wasn't, in fact, broken), until I found I was able to start XDM.
Glad to hear it's been acknowledged and fixed so quickly — that kind of professional and quality approach is one of the reasons I use Debian. Hats off to the Qt/KDE team! -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQIcBAEBCAAGBQJWMdHuAAoJEB9tYbQMXiq+T58P/1c/zoWjhd1QFnHKe/QHCbbU OkfLZWHLkQcliPkKhvEURjvN8D+FU96AI78suHgtM0MUG3R0R8a1funUV1ORLvUc Bhz1JmquGIDWS8JiEPWirAcALFCdxqEC9xsOor06mNF3tbx//vM7eVp2ICNMpJ1C ITcDISLW3YtoOFzSsGgeQwPWX4xvb9r9RG5/bwMUrY8st2I2Wu5YUO8/DZJooIGP YEpxvLOgsZKBlJB0K/zvJCxXKvvEyOhMN5L+rUhl92S4jb1N1FhbdXwxuGJwSF/z 5EdcaC5Ju7OjwwotIfD83SDnL6osGZSfeitg8WLfVOXNIwxAo5h/+SOkExTLbCsD morzUtiBDqHN9tJkYYxMtEKGeNiPwqzehpfLrXR4/2BzN7UDq9ojwA3TFaJm1KR/ wAaiLr47IW5aQsH0mw4mqjbKlaThsJHIgXcEzx5xeqE0+jBcDDoUKJARbs5WnCAv SjkF3jmKQyXRIYZXp0lZp1DGvMvwGHoJC6uwTyaqdiPAs0XJEeGDNafD0gfOoaNT pOhBNlFTgBhyx4+G5bbOnmOdrY7aeQhKipNFeSlx3IsgfdbfIJZqKhoEtyy/zFXY qHBnEhHreG9FLuOZg1UmBzdIPwuQ/zeuOimQ9h1mfnbyeZd8KUFleIdAKkvQBVVF bnqXK653o9483o60AcKu =hFBO -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
