Package: remmina
Version: 1.1.1-2
I switch my keyboard layout with Alt+Shift on all my computers. I use
Remmina on MATE on Debian Jessie to connect to other computers - an old
version of tightvncserver on Windows XP, Vino on Debian Squeeze, and
tightvncserver on Debian Wheezy (I'm not sure if I've also tried this
with X11vnc on Debian Jessie - I can't confirm this at the moment). I
believe Remmina is to blame because I don't have this problem with an
old TightVNC viewer running on Windows XP/7.
Let's say I'm editing an OpenOffice Writer document, for example.
Expected behaviour:
- I press Alt+Shift
- Layout changes (on both local and remote computers)
- I can continue typing - the Alt key press does not get across.
Observed behaviour:
- I press Alt+Shift
- Layout changes (on both local and remote computers)
- The "File" menu is highlighted - because the Alt key press has gotten
across to the remote computer. Now if I continue typing, I'll
accidentally launch menu items instead, so I have to remember to press
Alt again after every layout change.
Here is the reportbug information.
