Package: evolution Version: 3.22.0-2 Followup-For: Bug #839222 Dear Maintainer,
Evolution doesn't crash, but in the preview message pane I get garbage. Additionally, I get the same thing when I try to open the message in a new window. Sometimes when I click to another message the garbage pixels change. It's still garbage, but it looks like it's trying to display the message. When I open the program in a terminal I get these error messages: ** (evolution:2883): WARNING **: Couldn't register with accessibility bus: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. OpenGL Warning: crPixelCopy3D: simply crMemcpy'ing from srcPtr to dstPtr ** (evolution-alarm-notify:2897): WARNING **: Couldn't register with accessibility bus: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. ** (WebKitWebProcess:2936): WARNING **: Couldn't register with accessibility bus: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. (evolution:2883): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_window_get_window_type: assertion 'GDK_IS_WINDOW (window)' failed which leads me to suspect the problem is with libwebkitgtk2-4.0, but I'm not sure. I also get similar bad behavior when I open a browser which uses that webkit library like epiphany, but not midori which depends on an earlier version. I tried going into the settings and setting Evolution to only ever show messages at plaintext, but this didn't fix the problem either. Occasionally Evolution won't start and I get this error in addition to the others: (evolution:3925): Gdk-ERROR **: The program 'evolution' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter)'. (Details: serial 1463 error_code 9 request_code 143 (DAMAGE) minor_code 1) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the GDK_SYNCHRONIZE environment variable to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) fish: “evolution” terminated by signal SIGTRAP (Trace or breakpoint trap) But am not sure that it's related. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.7.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages evolution depends on: ii dbus 1.10.10-1 ii evolution-common 3.22.0-2 ii evolution-data-server 3.22.0-2 ii libc6 2.24-3 ii libcamel-1.2-59 3.22.0-2 ii libclutter-gtk-1.0-0 1.8.2-1 ii libecal-1.2-19 3.22.0-2 ii libedataserver-1.2-22 3.22.0-2 ii libevolution 3.22.0-2 ii libglib2.0-0 2.50.0-2 ii libgtk-3-0 3.22.1-1 ii libical2 2.0.0-0.5+b1 ii libicu57 57.1-4 ii libnotify4 0.7.6-2 ii libsoup2.4-1 2.56.0-1 ii libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37 2.14.0-1 ii libxml2 2.9.4+dfsg1-2 ii psmisc 22.21-2.1+b1 Versions of packages evolution recommends: ii bogofilter 1.2.4+dfsg1-8 ii evolution-plugins 3.22.0-2 ii yelp 3.22.0-1 Versions of packages evolution suggests: ii evolution-ews 3.22.0-2 pn evolution-plugins-experimental <none> ii gnupg 2.1.15-3 ii network-manager 1.4.2-1 -- debconf information: evolution/needs_shutdown: evolution/kill_processes:
