Hi, while we are usually following a first comes first served policy if it comes to name space conflicts I think it is apropriate to rename the executable in the package snap to snap-hmm (and provide the original name in /usr/lib/debian-med/bin which is used in other name space conflicts). I will do so quite soon to fix the bug in snap.
Please do not discriminate users of package snap by not beeing able to install snapd and remove the non-policy conformant conflict in snapd. I think it would have been better to leave at least 24 hours for discussing the issue even if we are quite near to the freeze. Kind regards Andreas. -- http://fam-tille.de
