Samba has released 4.5.5 to fix a known bug in 4.5.4. In vfs_fruit module, whatever that is. I cannot find any way to avoid using this module. https://www.samba.org/samba/history/samba-4.5.5.html It would probably be appropriate to abandon 4.5.4, and move to testing release 4.5.5 as I am sure I am not the only person to be affected (samba will not start, just core dumps). I cannot move back because of dependencies. I am reluctant to have to re-compile from source as there are many packages I do not want cluttering the machine. Besides, it will have to be done anyway. armhf, stretch Kind regards Peter Cain _______________________________________________ Pkg-samba-maint mailing list pkg-samba-ma...@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-samba-maint -- Mathieu
