Package: bbrun
Version: 1.6-6.1+b1
Followup-For: Bug #860443
Control: severity -1 serious
Control: tags -1 + patch
Control: usertags -1 + bittenby
This is a severity serious issue since it causes bbrun to be completely
broken on a release architecture (amd64). Here is the backtrace I got:
$ gdb
Hello,
I tried to reproduce the crash.
It happens just after trying to execute something.
History handling uses an array of pointer to char.
Unfortunately it is stored in a pointer to a 32-bit integer.
Therefore pointer get truncated.
gcc is tries to warn about this:
bbrun.c: In function
Package: bbrun
Version: 1.6-6.1+b1
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
At the time of execution, it fails and issues the message
$ bbrun -w
Segment Violation
There is no log, there is no other message, it just does not work.
You have a week that shows this behavior.
