Source: xserver-xorg-input-libinput Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
on a recently installed Debian Stretch system with KDE5 desktop on a Thinkpad T410s the entire system becomes unusable when I use both the touchpad and the keyboard. This happens specifically when working in Kate and searching through my bash history with the arrow up and down keys and simultaneously moving the cursor with the touchpad. The display occasionally flickers and the entire xorg session crashes within a few seconds. Simultaneous use of a mouse instead of the touchpad works fine. It is not possible to switch to another terminal using Ctrl+Alt+F* and can only be restarted with a hard reset. The crashes occur frequently enough to render the system unusable. I have since deinstalled the xserver-xorg-input-libinput package and reverted to using evdev drivers without any issues. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=de:en_US (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system)
