I'm seeing the same symptoms (with a "Qualcomm Atheros QCA6174 802.11ac
Wireless Network Adapter (rev 32)"), but it started with me on buster after
upgrading linux-image from 2.11.x to 2.12.x (2.13.x also has the same
issue). It looks like 2.12 bumped the firmware API version used for this
chipset

working
for approximately 5-15 minutes before stopping transporting packets to my
access
point.
