I'm reopening this bug because it is still valid. I can reproduce it
locally when I install libsnmp35 in a schroot and then run:
$ ldd -r /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libnetsnmptrapd.so.35.0.0

libnetsnmptrapd.so needs to link with -lmysql, see the output of
