Package: libomp5-7 Version: 1:7~svn336894-1~exp1 Severity: serious User: debian...@lists.debian.org Usertags: piuparts
Hi, during a test with piuparts I noticed your package failed to install because it tries to overwrite other packages files without declaring a Breaks+Replaces relation. See policy 7.6 at https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/#overwriting-files-and-replacing-packages-replaces >From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...): Preparing to unpack .../libomp5-7_1%3a7~svn336894-1~exp1_amd64.deb ... Unpacking libomp5-7:amd64 (1:7~svn336894-1~exp1) ... dpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/libomp5-7_1%3a7~svn336894-1~exp1_amd64.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libomp.so.5', which is also in package libomp5:amd64 6.0.1-1 Errors were encountered while processing: /var/cache/apt/archives/libomp5-7_1%3a7~svn336894-1~exp1_amd64.deb Maybe Conflicts+Replaces+Provides: libomp5 is the correct solution, otherwise we will have to revisit this issue for every new major llvm version. cheers, Andreas
