Package: golang-1.11 Version: 1.11.2-2 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer,
I had golang-1.10 installed as a dependency of golang-go, and /usr/bin/go was linked to version 1.10. When I installed goland-1.11, I expected that link perhaps to be updated, but more likely added to /etc/alternatives, so that I could select the appropriate version from there. As far as I could tell, the only option is/was to rewrite that link if I wanted 1.11 as default. Am I missing something? ---------------------------------------------------- -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.18.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages golang-1.11 depends on: ii golang-1.11-doc 1.11.2-2 ii golang-1.11-go 1.11.2-2 ii golang-1.11-src 1.11.2-2 golang-1.11 recommends no packages. golang-1.11 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
